ADC is approaching 50 years of service to the people in the property and development industry of South East  and Central Queensland.

It started in the early 1960’s, with founder Stephen John Arnold and brother Michael David George Arnold forming a partnership opening a Brisbane Surveying firm. During the next few years, work steadily increased until the Gold Coast branch became viable in its own right in 1969. In the early 1970’s it was decided to dissolve the partnership, although the Gold Coast part was still to retain the Arnold & Arnold name. The practise was incorporated in 1973, and became Arnold & Arnold (Gold Coast) Pty Ltd. The business has always operated under the personal supervision of founding director Stephen John Arnold and has ensured it kept its family business base.

Stephen’s sons, Michael and Matthew, followed in their Dad’s footsteps, and went on to become registered surveyors. It wasn’t long before Stephen had them working for him. Matthew and Michael both became a Licensed Surveyors and Michael went on to complete a Town Planning degree. In 1996, Arnold & Arnold re-launched as Arnold Development Consultants to focus on its integrated approach to Land Development Consultancy, employing both Surveyors and Town Planners. Not long after the re-launch, Stephen decided to retire from the family business and Matthew left to pursue other interests.

In early 2011 after nearly 40 years, ADC has re-united with its base of foundation, Brisbane, by opening an office in Springwood in response to client requests to broaden the geographical base of our service provision. The geographical coverage of our service provision has never been so convenient to our many long-standing clients and never so attractive to prospective new clients too.

ADC has now expanded even further, with an office in Gladstone allowing us to extend our quality service to Central Queensland regions including but not limited to Gladstone, Rockhampton, Emerald and Yeppoon.

ADC is now lead by Michael who has strengthened and kept the firm at the forefront of the Planning and Surveying disciplines. Michael has over 20 years of land titling, land surveying, town planning and urban design experience.

Michael is now joined by Directors, Graham Lindsay and Andrew Magoffin.

Graham is our Director of Surveying, and has nearly 30 years experience in surveying, land titling options and subdivision design.  Graham has been with ADC since 2003.

Andrew is our Director of Planning and has more than 10 years experience in town planning, project management and urban design.  Andrew has been with ADC since 2004.

All of our directors have been able to continue strengthening Arnold Development Consultants and achieve sustainable economic growth through service diversity and integration, hassle free and on time service delivery and a willingness to help others.

ADC has subdivided over 20,000 blocks of land and in turn this has housed on conservative estimates over 100,000 Southeast Queensland residents. We continue to build on this strong record through our clients, ranging from large freehold and community title subdivisions, construction surveying of hundreds of homes per annum, private and public infrastructure and civil projects as well as change in land use and land development strategies.
