GCCC “Buy Local” Procurement Policy

ADC congratulates the Gold Coast City Council for its new “buy local” procurement policy. The new policy provides locally-based businesses the first bite at $250 million in Council contracts every year.

The Details:
– Purchases less than $15,000 go to Gold Coast businesses only
– Purchases less than $200,000 have only local business being asked to quote
– Purchases under $300,000 have a $15,000 price advantage given to local businesses
– Purchases over $300,000 have a 9% price advantage provided to local business during tender assessment.
