Further to Gold Coast City Council’s announcement on Friday of an infrastructure charge ‘holiday’, the limited detail released to date reveals that there are caps on the discount on charges for which each project might be eligible.

Whilst ADC recognises that GCCC has a budget to balance it is nonetheless a little disappointed about the aforementioned caps as well as the following exclusions:

ADC has been informed that the Rules and Procedures for the Construction Kickstart and the Construction Kickstart (Infrastructure Charges) Discount Request Form are yet to be uploaded onto GCCC’s website but will be so within the next few days. Until such a time ADC will only be able to speculate whether a given project will be eligible for a discount and the quantum of that potential discount.
