State Government Introduces Concurrency Agency Referral Assessment Charges (4 August 2014)

ADC is concerned that recently introduced State Government charges for Concurrency Agency Referral Assessments (through SARA) will be a further disincentive to development throughout Queensland.

While ADC acknowledges that the fees are based on user-pays principles we believe that they will amount to a considerable additional burden when combined with already high Local Government lodgement fees and development contributions charges.  ADC believes this acting as a further burden for the development sector – which is only just starting to recover from the impacts of the GFC.
